I have admired Uncle I and his three friends since a long time ago, when I actually found out briefly the story of their lives.
They were Uncle B, Uncle G, Uncle I and Uncle J. They were once drug addicts. But it came to a point in their lives when they realised that they should not continue living and wasting their lives like that, being the lowest beings in the society. Then they began their struggle to give up drugs and to search their way back on the right track. They sought God at AGAPE Taiping. They were always there for one another, helping each other to fully recover and rehabilitate. Heck, they would even beat each other up if they had to!
"For nothing is impossible with God." - Luke 1:37
With great commitment towards God and for their lives, they finally won the struggle, fully quit drugs and began a new life. They left their past behind them, it's over. In God's grace, they are now all changed men.
Uncle B and Uncle I are happy bachelors while Uncle G and Uncle J are married and have a family of their own. They now devote their lives to God, serving at FGA Taiping and are fully committed in fulfilling God's purpose. It's really heartwarming to see them in the church, sometimes I would see Uncle B playing the drum while Uncle G would play the guitar.
The thing I really like about them is that when I first saw them, I never knew they had such a past. The four of them, they have some of the most beautiful happy faces I've ever seen. They look even more joyful than most people out there. If I didn't know, I would say they were anything but once drug addicts. From the lowest beings of the society they are now the happiest men on Earth. Now whenever I think of them, they motivate me, showing me that hope is always there in God no matter how much your life seem screwed. HOPE. =)
Only God can make all these happen. It's just so beautiful. They are some of God's greatest living testimonies out there, these four great men.
