A very Merry Christmas and soon Happy New Year to all of you! May God bless you and your family with love and happiness abundantly.
Just spent my Christmas this year with 8 of my JPA batchmates in a trip around Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Bruges. Really had a great time, the places were nice. I just didn't appreciate the freezing cold weather and thick snow which drowned my shoes and socks throughout the whole trip. But the thing that mattered to me the most was getting to hang out with them again and having fun, joking, chatting and doing things together. Trust me, I've never laughed this much since the last time I met them and the last time I was with my friends at Taiping.
Some highlights were:
Amsterdam: Madame Tussaud's wax museum, Red Light District, visiting the Heineken brewery
Rotterdam: Cool hotel, countryside windmills
Bruges: Simple jalan-jalan while enjoying local food and snacks.

Resolutions
Christmas just passed and New Year's coming. Which also means time for New Year's Resolutions. This is so that one can hope to kick out old bad habits and adopt new good habits, hoping to be less imperfect for a new chapter of life. But one can also hope to achieve something new by setting himself a personal goal.
As I am as imperfect as a human I am, I do see a point in setting myself some resolutions/goals for 2011. Here goes my first New Year's Resolutions in 2011:
a) Finish a book! I've never finish a book unless obligated like when I took Literatre In English back at secondary school days. Be it fiction, non-fiction, I'll never go further than 20 pages before I leave it at a corner collecting dust. So this time I vow to finish at least 1 book(The Case For Christ) before I move on reading my next one.
Erm... that's all I have for now lol. I can't think of anything else. Sure I may have some bad habits like bad temper but I'm already improving on that. So that's it until I can think of something else. It doesn't necessarily have to be on a New Year's day for me to have a resolution anyways, isn't it?
But I do have what I call a "To-Do-In-My-Life-List" which includes the ambitious things I wish to fulfill before I die so that I may have lived a very meaningful and satisfied life. lol
a) Publish a book. Could be a comic? Could be something humorous? Could be something true and thought-provoking? I just want to be able to share with the people whatever I have and I'll be damn sure satisfied if it's good enough to rank among the best-sellers. lol
b) Write a song, or a poem of something meaningful in my life. Don't need to have a charming voice for this, it's the lyrics that matters.
c) Leaving a legacy. That my name goes down with history, be it inventing something new or making a social impact to be remembered.
I've always thought of doing something significant and meaningful in my life because I just don't want to live a commoner and die a nobody. But that's just how I think, so I'm determined to do something BIG.
